SPECIALIZED ENVIRONMENTAL DREDGING
A truck carrying 4,100 gallons of oxyflourfen herbicide hit the I-84 bridge over Fifteen Mile Creek killing all aquatic life. Fred Devine Diving and Salvage worked in conjunction with Foss Environmental Co. Using a sandbag dam above the spill to pool the stream and isolate the contaminated area, herbicides were removed using three high volume pumps. The contaminates were placed into tanks, the tanks were lifted by crane and removed from the accident scene. This procedure was repeated until O D F W and D E Q testing samples assured public safety.
