COMPANY
Fred
Devine Diving & Salvage Co., the present day corporation, evolved
from a diving company started by Fred Devine in 1913.
The firm continues
to be recognized internationally as a premier heavy marine salvage
resource. The company owns a unique salvage ship the M/V "Salvage Chief",
specially designed to operate under conditions prevalent on the coasts of
the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Over the years our company has assembled
a very extensive inventory of salvage equipment,
most of it specially designed and built for use on salvage operations.
Operations
are staged and supported for a 6 acre site with river frontage and dockage
on the Swan Island Lagoon in Portland, OR. A warehouse and shop complex
containing 14,700 sq/ft is used to house diving and salvage equipment as
well as mechanical, paint and fabrication shops.
With this
facility, the specialized equipment, the M/V Salvage Chief, a full

vessels, Fred Devine Diving and Salvage Co. is fully outfitted for all
major salvage operations, including marine construction and diving
projects.
